This position works to maintain facility in accordance with federal, state and local regulations to assure the highest level of service and quality is maintained.
Facilities Management:
1. Management of all building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.
2. Monitor departmental supplies to maintain proper inventory levels.
3. Provide emergency response to resident facility management needs.
4. Conduct daily walk-through of the building and create necessary work-orders.
5. Implement and maintain facility work order process.
6. Maintain logs and forms to support policies and procedures for proper building management.
7. Report/recommend to Maintenance Director as necessary regarding departmental operations. Establish and maintain a preventative maintenance program.
Administration:
Attend in-service programs as required.
Responsible for facility fire safety and protection programs.
Ensure all facility personnel wear and use appropriate safety equipment and supplies.
Assume responsibility for MSDS, “Right to Know”,” OSHA and Hazmat programs.
Performance of other duties as deemed necessary, appropriate and within the scope of training and education.
Subject to be called back to facility in emergency conditions (severe weather, evacuation, post – disaster, etc.)
Participates in the Manager on Duty rotation and all associated responsibilities.
Reports any accidents and/or incidents to Executive Director or designee immediately.
Performance of other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate, or as directed.
· Previous experience working within the senior living community.
· Knowledge of boilers, generators, elevators, HVAC, etc. as well as various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
· Ability to communicate effectively at a professional level in writing and verbally.
· Able to manage several tasks at the same time.
· Is resourceful and willing to satisfy both ordinary and extraordinary needs of prospective residents/families.
· Must be computer literate and be efficient in the use of:
· Microsoft Word
· Microsoft Excel
· Microsoft Outlook
· Ability to use the internet for research and emailing.
It is expected that every employee will seek out educational opportunities and take any necessary steps to stay current in their professional field of expertise. The minimum requirements of the position are:
· High School graduate or equivalent education.
· 2 years’ experience in Facilities management or relevant experience.
